Major Moscow's Assaults Disrupt Power Across Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
The country's power facilities have faced escalating attacks in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused power cuts in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were injured while local people in the city's east were experienced blackouts and encountered problems to water supplies, per reports from local authorities.

Simultaneously, a young boy was fatally injured in a distinct aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, as reported by regional authorities.

Moscow has intensified assaults on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "concrete actions" from allies to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not window dressing but decisive action - from the United States, the EU and the G7 - in supplying defensive weapons and enforcing sanctions," mentioned in a online statement.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen projectiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were working to restore power.

A wave of strikes hit energy infrastructure and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Multiple people injured in the strikes on the capital have been transported for medical care, according to municipal representatives.

Local officials said the city endured heavy assaults overnight. A minor died and multiple civilians were wounded.

The assaults succeed nights of air raids in the region, sections of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.

The entire country is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to detect.

Authorities told the media that Moscow was intentionally trying to damage the national power system, with assaults already disrupting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and authorities were preparing for more assaults.
